My previous Deciem Haul post was purely about the products that I had purchased on Black Friday … or in this case, a day early as Deciem revealed their offers a day early. If you haven’t already seen that post, you can check it out here!
The following Sunday, I jumped on a train to London with Jess, who if you haven’t seen her Instagram, you must check it out! @sk.insta.story
We are both Moderators for the Facebook group The Ordinary and Deciem Chatroom and were meeting up with the gorgeous Jo (you have to follow Deciem Chatroom on Instagram too) and also Nia, a fellow Mod and Beauty Blogger at Beauty Blog Wales.

The most obvious place to meet of course was the Deciem store in Covent Garden where we were greeted by the lovely Jack who answered any questions we had … of course we asked about his skincare routine! … and we were then off to have a wander around the store because lets face it, we weren’t going to not buy anything!! 😛
One thing I do love about Deciem stores is there’s no pressure to buy anything, yet there’s help on hand when you need it. They don’t allow the store to become over-crowded even at busy periods so if you’re planning on visiting the store, there may be a line outside but once you’re in there, you’ll see why it wouldn’t be best to have a crowd of people in there.
So … on to what I bought …
The Chemistry Brand HA3 Hand Hydrator

This was one of those purchases where you pick up the tester from the shelf, open the lid and say ‘oh my gosh that smells amazing!‘ … which was pretty much word for word what happened. Along with a comment from Jess that she had used and enjoyed this hand lotion it went straight into my basket! Hyaluronic Acid and butters of Mango and Inca Inchl … pure bliss for hands!
The Ordinary Serum Foundation

I have been meaning to repurchase this for a while now because, believe it or not, I actually LOST my one! I have no idea how but I did and between this and the coverage foundation, both of which I tried and tested for a while, the serum won in my opinion. The coverage foundation seemed to oxidise on my skin after a while but the serum one was absolutely fine and gave a lovely, light finish with just enough coverage. I can recommend this foundation and for the price, it’s well worth trying it out!
The Ordinary Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%

This is a total new one for me but I have heard raving reviews about it. It is said to help restore and renew skin thanks to the concentrated Alpha Lipoic Acid’s antioxidant properties. It targets fine lines, wrinkles, scars, pigmentation and dullness. I am yet to add this into my routine as I am using up some other products first but it sounds like it will be a great addition!
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% & HA 2%

Another new one for me, a gentle yet powerful Alhpa-Hydroxy-Acid (AHA) which contains Tasmanian Pepperberry to help with signs of inflammation that can be caused during the exfoliation process when using acids. The Hyaluronic Acid addition allows for the skin to attract and retain moisture so anything applied after this should be of the hydrating nature. I love a bit of everything in my skincare routines, acids, hydrators, oils and so on so I look forward to trying this! As I have other acids to try, this isn’t something I will rush to add to my routine but will try it when I feel my skin can handle it. My skin is generally great when I throw new products at it however I would never be complacent and use everything I have bought in one go!
The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors

This is a product that I actually never thought I would try! Purely because I am addicted to using Clinique’s Moisture Surge as my every day moisturiser. That said, this gets great reviews so I thought I would give it a go! I have mostly purchased this because as much as I love Clinique, unless I decant the product, it isn’t the easiest thing to travel with so I thought that would be the best time to test this out because the tubes are travel friendly! I am going away in a couple of weeks and plan to take this with me to test out!
The Ordinary “B” Oil

Another new one and another one that gets great reviews. I am a huge fan of facial oils, which if you go back a few years I never thought I would say!
““B” Oil solubilizes a purified form of micro-algae in a blend of squalane and oils of marula, argan, baobab, pataua, brazil nut, inca inchi, rosehip and borage to support healthy skin defense, to enhance radiance, to quench free radicals and to help balance pro-irritant mediators”

How amazing does that combination sound? I couldn’t not get it!! Am I right or am I right?? 😛
The Ordinary Azelaic Acid 10%

Not a new one for me and in fact, I’m almost at the end of my first tube of this so it will feature in my December Empties post but for now lets just say that the ability of the Azelaic Acid to reduce redness and even skin tone has worked for me! It also acts as an anti-oxidant so helping to protect the skin from environmental aggressors. I absolutely love this stuff and it’s made a huge difference to my skin!
So, that’s my haul! Some newbies, some oldies and for anything that is new, I will of course review at some point on here!
In the mean time, if you’re a Deciem Addict and have already checked out the Facebook and Instagram pages for the Chatroom as at the start of the post, also have a look at the rest of the Moderators on Instagram for more skincare inspiration!

I’m such a fan of Deciem even though some of the jargon confuses me. I started with the lactic acid to get used to using acids first and it worked a treat!

I love The Ordinary! They’re what got me into vitamin C, and I love their hyaluronic acid serum. I really want to try that big tub of Hyaluronic Acid from the Chem Brand (had no idea it was from Deciem…makes a lot of sense). Have you tried that yet?

Thanks for reading. The big HA I really liked. I kept it in my bathroom and applied it to my skin as soon as I stepped out of the shower as HA works best on damp skin. I thought it was really nice. I haven’t replaced it yet because I’m trying to use up more of what I’ve already got but I would get it again x
