Twelve days into Advent and today’s box contains one of my absolute favourite products!
Pixi Rose Tonic
If you follow my Instagram you’ll have seen this crop up in my stories and on my grid as part of my skincare routine. In fact I use this every day, usually both AM and PM.
The first product I used from Pixi was the Glow Tonic which I’ve used for a couple of years. A 5% Glycolic Acid which is a gentle acid toner from which the next step should be a hydrating toner. Cue, Rose tonic! This lovely, fresh smelling tonic helps to soothe as well as tone, balance PH, minimise redness and calm the skin. Pixi also say that it rehydrates, replenishes and refreshes. All I can say, now that I’ve used it for around 3 months regularly, is that the claims are spot on. My skin feels super hydrated, calm, soothed and replenished, I also love the soft, fresh scent that it has. I cleanse my skin, use the glow tonic then this, followed by whatever serums I am using that day, completing my routine with moisturiser and SPF (AM only). On days that I am not using an acid toner, I will still use the rose tonic to keep up with hydration in my routine.
I actually can’t say a bad word about it and despite only being half way through my current 250ml bottle, I have another one in my stash so to get the mini size in the calendar is fab for when I go on holiday! At 100ml, this is also cabin luggage friendly however Pixi also have a 40ml size – perfect for short travels! Some other plus points to note are that it is dermatologically tested, paraben free, alcohol free, vegan friendly and also suitable for all skin types including sensitive!
At £10 per 100ml, today’s box is worth £10!
Do you have a beauty advent calendar? If so I’d love to know what treats you’re getting too!
