It’s been almost two years since I started Beauty and The Ballroom and one post type I have tried to keep up with is the ‘Empties’ post. I had read so many of them before and think it’s good to see reviews once a product has been used up because opinions may have changed from first impressions and so on…so…here’s my empties for September!
Josh Wood Colour Shampoo & Conditioner

Josh Wood Colour Radiating Shampoo & Conditioner
I was kindly sent these to try by Josh Wood Colour and my review of them can be found here: Josh Wood Colour – Haircare Review . When I was sent these I could only really give my opinion based on how they make my hair feel and look but with no comment to their effect on coloured hair. Since then I have had my hair coloured! I am finding them to still be the best haircare products that I have used in a long time! My colour is vibrant every time I wash and dry it.
Would I repurchase?
Yes! Without a doubt and I had already purchased some replacements before I ran out! Josh Wood have some of their products on offer at Boots.com (These two items were gifted for review…this link is not affiliated in any way with my blog).
The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask
I have posted a more in depth review of this mask (complete with selfie wearing the mask so it’s worth clicking through just to see that!!!) and that can be found here: The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask…..empty 🙂
Would I repurchase?
Yes – this was a repurchase already and I would buy this again. It is a great mask for clearing impurities away without leaving my skin like it has been stripped of everything!!
Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme! Mascara

Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme
Having used the yellow tube of Colossal mascara in the past, I thought I would give this a go. This particular one has been my go-to mascara in my pro-kit for clients and it hasn’t disappointed! The brush isn’t so wide that it imprints on the lid as I have found some mascaras to do and it’s not thick or clumpy either. It allows me to lift and coat lashes effortlessly!
Would I repurchase?
Yes. I would buy this again not just for my kit but I am tempted to also get one for me when my current mascara runs out!
Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost Mask – Mini size

Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost Mask
I bought a set of three mini masks from Bobbi Brown. I think travel size products are a great idea as it allows you to try a product without committing to the full size and full priced product to then find you don’t like it or it doesn’t suit your skin! This mask is said to smooth and re-texturise skin which I can completely agree that it does. It is left on the skin for 2-5 minutes and washed off. It contains tiny grains which don’t feel abrasive on the skin but leaves my face feeling soft, smooth and ready for the rest of my routine. It also smells amazing!
Would I repurchase?
Definitely! I will be buying the full size version of this without a doubt!
Clinique Take The Day Off Balm – Mini size

Clinique Take The Day Off Balm
This is another product that I have previously written about so you can check the full post out here… Clinique Take The Day Off Balm – Review … This is something that I use every day that I have worn either Makeup or even just SPF. I then cleanse my skin with an additional cleanser. This removes makeup effectively and doesn’t dry my skin out.
Would I repurchase?
Yes…I don’t know how many times I have repurchased the full size of this but this little pot is great to take on holiday!
Clinique Smart Serum

Clinique Smart Serum
Clinique Smart serum claims to know what your skin needs based on it’s past! ”Addresses the appearance of uneven skin tone, lines and wrinkles, firming, or radiance – For all ages, all ethnicities – Five years of research”. I haven’t used it long enough to comment on it ‘changing’ my skin but it is a really lovely serum with a smooth texture that when applied feels like it is working … an odd description I know! I took this on holiday with me and used it morning and night for a week and I would like to try it for longer as it felt lovely on my skin.
Would I repurchase?
Yes. If it was more in my price range I would! That said, next time it is on some kind of offer, I think I will cave as I would like to add it to my routine and see if it makes a difference to my lines!
Korres Wild Rose Advanced Repair Sleeping Facial

Korres Wild Rose Advanced Repair Sleeping Facial
This sleeping facial contains Hyaluronic Acid, Wild Rose and Vitamin C, which means it helps skin to look brighter and more hydrated. A lovely thick cream that works well with any serums that I have used in my routine prior to applying it. I really enjoy using this as my last step of my night time routine and have found my skin feels soft and hydrated the morning after using it.
Would I repurchase?
Yes. I’ve also just noticed this is on offer at Marks & Spencer! I had received this sample size in the Beauty Advent calendar from last year so yes I would buy the full size!
That’s all for my September empties…keep an eye out for a different kind of ’empties’ post coming soon!!

It’s great as a really good clean and it’s too drying. I’m tempted to try another one from that line of masks x

I’ve just finished up that Korres night cream too – trying to use up the advent calendar products before December comes around again. I didn’t know anything about this product and was glad to have the chance to try it.

That’s the great thing about the calendar, I’m loving some of the products so much I’m buying them and using on a regular basis but wouldn’t have looked at them had it not been for trying them in the calendar! X
