Beauty and The Ballroom - Empties post

A very late empties post!!

Surely it is not the end of August already??  Where did that month go?  My July empties post is delayed that much that I considered rolling July and August together but then we really would have one long post so here goes just for July…August to follow!! Haha!

Beauty and The Ballroom - Empties post

Bath & Bodyworks – A Thousand Wishes Fine Fragrance Mist

Bath & Bodyworks A Thousand Wishes Fine Fragrance Mist

This is one of my favourite Bath & Bodyworks products from my New York Haul back in October last year.  A lovely sweet but not sickly sweet body mist.  Key notes: Pink Prosecco, Sparkling Quince, Crystal Peonies, Gilded Amber, Amaretto Crème.

Would I repurchase?

Absolutely!  I wish we had Bath & Bdoyworks in the UK!

Rosie for Autograph Divine Shower Elixir

Rosie for Autograph Divine Shower Elixir

Orange Blossom, White Flowers and Sandalwood – such a divine smell!  Divine Shower Elixir is more of a cream texture body wash but feels super luxurious and leaves my skin feeling so soft when I get out of the shower.  Rosie for Autograph is one of my favourite Marks & Spencer brands, be it for makeup or body care.  The packaging and products always have that luxury feel to them – who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold??  😛

Would I repurchase?

Yes!  Definitely!  It has one of those scents that’s so relaxing in the shower and my skin feels great after use so this is on my shopping list to replace!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gelee Milk Cleanser

Neutrogena HydroBoost Gelee Milk Cleanser

I have reviewed this product in the past and you can see my review here:  Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleanser – A Quick Review.  My thoughts on this haven’t really changed.  It is a light gel cleanser which is great for a ‘quick’ cleanse’ but is also fantastic for using when travelling as you don’t have to rinse it.  Personally when I use it at home I do rinse it but it’s great if you’re not able to as I don’t find it leaves my skin dry or tight.  It isn’t a cleanser I use all of the time but it is a nice, light, affordable cleanser.  It is also pretty good for those times when I’m wearing a lot of heavy eye makeup (like after a dance competition) and I will gently swipe this over my eyes first before going in with my first cleanser (Not a whole face cleanser followed by a double cleanse – that would be too much!).

Would I repurchase?

Yes – this was a repurchase and I did buy another which is now in use.  I would say this is worth a try if you haven’t already and it is frequently on sale in Boots.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Perfumed Lotion

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Perfumed Body Lotion

One of my absolute favourite perfumes is Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb.  One of my birthday gifts last year included this cute little body lotion version of the scent.  I am a bit rubbish at remembering to use body lotions (as I say quite frequently!!) however I’ve finally used this one up!  Layering skincare is an every day thing for me to do, yet I always forget about layering fragrances.  Layering lotion and perfume helps with the scent’s longevity.

Would I repurchase?

Absolutely!  I always have a bottle of perfume so I should really use more of the matching lotions!!

Elsa’s Organics – Natural Deodorant Stick

Elsa's Organics - Natural Deodorant stick

A new favourite of mine is this natural deodorant stick by Elsa’s Organics.  I have mentioned this in a previous empties post (which is a clue to whether I’d repurchase!!).  I look for deodorants that do not contain aluminium or parabens and this fits that remit perfectly and smells lovely!  Bergamont and Lime is a mix of essential oil smells that I absolutely love!

Would I repurchase?

I am on my third stick so umm, yeah!  Haha!

Clinique Moisture Surge Spray

Moisture Surge Spray

Anyone who knows about my skincare routine will know that Clinique’s moisture surge features in my every day routine in the form of a moisturiser.  This spray version is a fantastic addition to that collection with a few uses.  I use it after acids as my first point of hydration, after cleansing when not using acids, between makeup layers if I feel I need it, after makeup and generally at any point throughout the day!  This travel size version is also perfect for travel – especially when flying which is known to take it’s toll on skin so this is a great refresher for an instant boost of hydration.

Would I repurchase?

Yes!  I’ve had the full size of this and a couple of travel sizes.  I do need to get another one as I miss it when I don’t have it!!

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

Another addition to the Moisture Surge collection is this over night mask which can be used in a couple of ways for that added hydration to your evening skincare routine.    A luxuriously thick mask that can either be tissued off or left on over night.  Personally I use it over night and especially if I have decided to use an acid peel or something where I want a simple but effective and comforting sleep cream.

Would I repurchase?

I would buy this yes.  I haven’t needed to as I don’t use it every night and have had plenty of deluxe sample sizes in gift with purchase bags!

Clinique Pep-start eye cream

Pep-Start Eye cream

I have reviewed this in an empties post quite some time ago – last year in fact I think it was.  Clinique really do give out decent trial sizes of their products because these little eye creams seem to last me a while.   It is lovely and light, easily absorbed and works really well under makeup.

Would I repurchase?

I’m undecided on this.  I have used a few of these sample sizes of this and although it really is a lovely light cream, I’m not sure it gives me enough hydration for my dry under-eye.  It’s by no means a bad eye cream, it’s just not stand out enough for me to say that I would buy it.  If however you’re looking for a light, easy to absorb eye cream that works well under makeup then do give this a go!!

Forever Sun Lips

This lip balm is very much like using a vaseline type of stick in terms of consistency.  The difference being this is an spf for the lips.  I think often, even if you’re on the ball with facial spf, lip care is easy to forget!  Sun exposure can certainly dry lips out so it is worth checking something like this out if you haven’t already!

Would I repurchase?

I have bought this a few times and whilst I would repurchase based on the fact it appears to be effective, in hot weather and in my bag, I have found this stick turns pretty soft so isn’t great for travel necessarily.  I am currently using another brand so will try and compare at some point!
