I literally couldn’t be more excited about today’s advent calendar box! I was first introduced to this product this time last year thanks to the M&S beauty advent calendar as I hadn’t even heard of it! Reviewing it with an ‘initial thoughts’ post I even commented (and I can’t believe now that this was me writing it…..) that I thought it was a nice product but can’t see me using it all of the time……OMG was I wrong!
What is it?? Day 14 is….
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm
Since the initial review I did a complete U-turn on this cleanser! It has quickly become my favourite cleanser! Having oily/combination skin I used to use foaming washes or anything that said it was for ‘oily skin’ but the reality is that using oils on oily skin helps to keep the oil at bay. I have made many changes in my skin care which have contributed to my skin being so much better but one thing is for sure, using a cleansing balm that turns into an oil only does good things for my skin!!
I use this in the evening in a number of ways. If I have been wearing makeup or SPF I don’t waste it removing my makeup so I will start with Clinique Take The Day off balm then go in with the Emma Hardie balm as a second cleanse. The smell of this is divine – I never knew you could enjoy skincare so much!! I will also use this as a one stop cleanse if I haven’t been wearing makeup or SPF as I won’t need to double cleanse. Thirdly, I will use this balm as a face mask, applying it to my skin and laying in the bath relaxing for 10 minutes before washing it off. My skin feels super soft, hydrated and calm after using this no matter how I use it.
Despite being a cleansing balm, this can be used on dry skin and lips to help soften and hydrate. I haven’t actually used it for this but going into winter, I may well give this a go!
I have had the bigger 200g pot and currently have the standard 100g. I previously commented on the price suggesting that it wasn’t something I was perhaps prepared to pay so much for….again, that has changed, it is such a great cleanser that I would definitely buy it again and again. The travel size pot included in this calendar is fab for taking away. I am off to Iceland in January…..I know this will be in my bag!
Have you tried this cleansing balm?
