February Empties

Ok, ok, this post is now a month late given April is literally tomorrow but I’ve been pretty busy and blogging fell to one side but hopefully I’m back on a roll now 🙂

So, here’s February’s Empties 🙂

Pixi Rose Tonic

I’m starting with an absolute favourite of mine. I am a huge Pixi fan anyway and this Rose Tonic is just delightful and my skin loves it. It is a hydrating and PH balancing toner that helps to calm and soothe the skin. I use this in both my AM and PM routines especially if I’ve used Glow tonic or Retinol Tonic (which I also love!!).

Would I repurchase?

Absolutely! I had a smaller bottle in my draw when I ran out of this – which may have been from the M&S Beauty Calendar in December so I’m half way through that so need to get a new bottle ASAP!

Formula Absolute Sleep Cream

A travel size tube that I had received in the M&S Advent Calendar but this Sleep cream is one I’ve used for a while now and have had a few of the full size pots of it … and have one open now also. It is a lovely, thick moisturiser for night time use which I wasn’t sure about as I’d previously always avoided heavier creams on my skin. I wish I’d discovered this earlier!! I love it. My skin feels plump and hydrated in the mornings following using this at night and it works well over any serums or oils that I use before it.

Would I repurchase?

I already have! After using a travel size tube from the 2017 Advent Calendar I started to buy the full size pots. This tube was in the 2018 calendar which I was gifted by M&S. I highly recommend this sleep cream and have done since I used it in 2017!

Caudalíe Beauty Elixir

This 30ml size was part of a Secret Santa Gift in a Skincare group on Facebook (it was on my wishlist! :P) and I wish that I had read more about it before I started to use it! Purely because I was using this in the middle of my skincare routine so as a hydrating spritz but what I didn’t know until I was just looking into it now, it is much more than that. It’s said to be famously used as a Makeup Setting spray, backstage at fashion shows … how did I not know this before I started using it? I can tell you it smells lovely and feels really nice on my skin but I am going to have to treat myself to another bottle to really put it to the test for spraying over makeup to tighten pores, set makeup and smoothing fine lines and creases.

Would I repurchase?

Well I’m going to have to now aren’t I? Haha! I would have said yes to this anyway as I really liked it.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

A friend of mine gave this to me (by the way you must check out Sk.insta Story on Instagram as part of a super cute mini duo of Laneige products – the other part being a Lip mask which I am yet to finish using (hint … it’s goooood!). The Water Sleeping Mask is great for dehydrated skin which I believe mine can be. Unlike night creams, a sleeping mask is to be used once or twice a week so this tiny pot has lasted me for quite a while! It is infused with Orange Flower, Rose and Sandalwood to relax and comfort plus apricot and evening primrose extract to brighten and purify tired skin.

Would I repurchase?

Yes! I haven’t yet purely because I am trying to use products that I have in my stash, which does include another sleep mask and night cream so this will have to wait but I definitely want this in my skincare army again soon!!

Clinique Fresh Pressed Vitamin C Daily Booster

Clinique Fresh Pressed Vitamin C Daily Booster

I have reviewed this product a few times in my Empties and I’m still loving it. 10% pure Vitamin C in a vial that keeps the powder separate from the serum until you’re ready to mix the two and start using it, keeping it as stable and fresh for as long as possible. Vitamin C oxidises and doesn’t remain stable in serums so this is cleverly designed to be ready to mix when you want to open it rather than being premixed. I use this with my moisturiser in the mornings and evenings and have noticed and improvement in my skin. I do like to use this as a boost rather than every day long-term so I tend to use this every day for the duration of the vial which is approximately two weeks then give my skin a break. That said, as I had a Debenhams voucher I did buy a pack of 4 and have been using is pretty much non stop so I think I will give my skin a break again before using the more. (I’ve used two vials consecutively so this appears in my next Empties post too!)

Would I repurchase?

Yes, already have and will continue to do so! My skin is definitely brighter for adding this into my routine and knowing I am using an antioxidant in my routine reassures me I’m helping to protect my skin 🙂

Antipodes Worship & Hosanna Serums

These serums were gifted to me to review, which I have done and you can see that post here … Antipodes Skincare Review. My views are pretty much the same as they were in that blog. They are lovely serums.

Would I repurchase?

I haven’t repurchased as I have so many other serums that either I prefer, or that I already have waiting to be used in my stash!

So, that’s all for my February (albeit a month late) empties post! Have you used any of these and if so, what are your thoughts?
