Today’s calendar doesn’t need much introduction from me if you’ve read my skincare blog posts or seen my Instagram posts or stories as this one crops up all of the time in my routine. So what is it?
Formula Absolute Ultimate Sleep Cream
I have mentioned this so many times on either my blog or Instagram and it has twice featured in an empties post. I’ve been using this since the 2016 Advent Calendar and it featured in the 2017 calendar. I love the fact it is in this one also because these 15ml tubes are fantastic size to take away on holiday so that I don’t have to take the big glass pot!
It is described by M&S as ‘100% intuitive skincare’ that makes you look like you’ve had 8 hours sleep…even when you haven’t! The claims are that skin appears less fatigued, deep lines appear reduced, firmer skin, healthier looking skin with improved elasticity, softer feeling skin and more! It is Hypoallergenic, suitable for all skin types, cruelty free and paraben free!
I have been using this cream at night regularly for almost two years now and initially when I tried it I have to admit, I thought the thickness of the cream would be off-putting given I have always avoided thicker moisturisers. I applied it at night as directed as the last step of my routine and one thing I have to say is that it smells AMAZING! The following morning I couldn’t believe how soft my skin felt and also how calm it looked in the mirror! I don’t think I’ve ever used a cream that’s had results that I’ve been able to notice that soon but also continues to deliver. Despite being a thicker cream than those that I’m used to, it’s still light enough to feel comfortable on the skin and it leaves it feeling super hydrated.
I used to avoid moisturising creams at night due to having oily skin. I’ve mentioned previously that my skin has been much better since sorting my skincare needs out and using appropriate products, this is one of those products! I also now use oils in my routine and can layer this on top perfectly fine.I cannot recommend this enough!! I love it!!
This retails at £4.40 per 10ml, meaning today’s box is worth £6.60.
Do you have a beauty advent calendar? If so I’d love to know what treats you’re getting too!
