Late nights seem to be my speciality at the moment. I stay up late, thinking I’ll just quickly catch up on an episode of whatever I’ve been watching lately, only to find myself watching 2, 3 or maybe more programmes and before I know it, it’s 1am and I really should be in bed. I’m pretty sure the late nights followed by a 7am alarm to get the kids up for school is taking it’s toll not only mentally because I feel like I am not firing on all cylinders the following morning, but also I’m just asking for dark and puffy under-eyes!! So today’s M&S beauty advent calendar box is quite handy!!
Balance Me – Wonder Eye Cream
I have a couple of eye creams on the go at the moment because I’m yet to find one that I swear by so I do love trying new ones!
The Balance Me Wonder Eye cream is a soothing, hydrating and brightening eye cream that is designed to work on dark shadows, firm the skin and reduce puffiness. It claims to be an instant hit of hydration to help with fine lines and help to reduce the appearance of fatigue.
As with all skincare I reserve comment on the ability of the product living up to it’s claims until I’ve used it for some time but on first impressions the cream is a lightweight texture so not too heavy at all. I had already completed my skincare routine when I opened this however I wanted to get it onto my skin as it sounds great. Patting it around my eye area I noticed a cooling sensation, not the kind of cooling that is on the verge of stinging (I’ve had that with an eye cream before too!!) but a nice, fresh kind of cooling. It was absorbed quickly without leaving the skin dry or tight and once it had sunk in, my underage felt moisturised. I will of course review this more thoroughly in the calendar revisit.
The 15ml product retails at £20, making this box worth £13.33 as it it a 10ml tube. It is paraben and alcohol free and also vegan friendly.
Do you have a beauty advent calendar? If so I’d love to know what treats you’re getting too!
