This year’s Marks & Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar was on my watch list ever since I finished the 2017 one! I have previously blogged about the 2016 and 2017 calendars from M&S as I have absolutely loved them! They’ve always worked out as great value for money and they’ve introduced me to products that I have continued to purchase and use on a regular basis that I perhaps previously wouldn’t have looked at!
This year I have been lucky enough to receive a calendar from M&S Beauty and can’t wait to see what’s in each little box as the festive season begins! As with previous years, these daily posts are to show you what is in each box as opposed to a full review…unless of course it is something I have used before. Then at some point I will revisit the whole calendar to see what I thought of it all.
Another note I will make going through each post is the value of the product that is in the calendar. The whole calendar retails at £35 when you spend £35 on clothing, home and beauty products and going on the previous two years, the value of the products inside goes way beyond what you pay for it!
So….here goes!
Day 1 – L’Occitane Verbena Shower Gel

I haven’t used this shower gel before but it does smell wonderful! The orange, geranium and lemon tree essential oils give it a really fresh scent … something I’d use for a ‘wake me up’ morning shower! This is a 50ml bottle and with a price point of 79p per 10ml, the value in box 1 is £3.95. The shower gel is paraben free and vegan friendly – both plus points!
Do you have a beauty advent calendar? If so I’d love to know what treats you’re getting too!

I think this is the first time that L’Occitane products have been in the M&S calendar. I don’t have it this year, but that shower gel is lovely – well pretty much all of that verbena line is lovely if you like citrusy scents!
