If there’s one thing that’s been mentioned a few times this year, it would be my trip to New York approaching. Now………it’s a series of posts STILL about New York but from a ‘Look where I’ve just been‘ perspective! (Sorry! Hahaha!)
Arriving at Heathrow Airport at 5am to check in for a 9.30am flight meant that we had plenty of time for breakfast….and erm, umm, yeah, SHOPPING!
World of Duty Free is like a sweet shop to me, but I knew I had to control my spending given I would be in New York in a matter of hours and heading for at least one branch of Sephora armed with my wishlist!
So, what did I buy at 6am?
Clinique Moisture Surge
I was running out of this anyway at home but I’ve used this moisturiser for a couple of years now and I love it so this is a repurchase. It’s a very lightweight moisturiser and perfect for my oily / combination skin.
Clinique Fresh Pressed
I have used this before (and written a blog post on it!) and have been wanting to repurchase for a while, so what better time than 6am? Haha! My skin felt amazing last time I used this so I am looking forward to adding this back into my routine.
Clarins Double Serum
This is a bit of a ‘Caroline Hirons made me do it’! This is said to be a powerful anti-aging serum with a whole cocktail of plant extracts including Tumeric which is great for the skin so I am really looking forward to starting this (I’m trying to use up another serum before I open this!).
Jimmy Choo EDP
This is the original perfume by Jimmy Choo and I LOVE it! I always get compliments when wearing this fragrance and I absolutely love it. I quite possibly go a bit overboard when using this as its addictive!! 😛 Top notes: Sweet Italian Orange & Pear Nectar, Heart notes: Tiger Orchid, Base Notes: Toffee & Patchouli. Truly beautiful!!
Pacco Rabanne Ultra Violet
Another repurchase of an old favourite. I first discovered this going through Duty Free aged 17 on my way to Canada. I was handed a little piece of card with this on that I took and placed into my note book. Every time I opened my note book on the trip the fragrance hit me and it was again, addictive! I HAD to buy it! I used this on my wedding day in 2002 and I always make the bottle last as long as I can! It isn’t one I buy all of the time as I do love other perfumes too but this is a real treat when I do get it! Top Notes: Fresh Pimento & Capsicum, Heart Notes: Japanese Kinmokusei, Base Notes: Ambergris & Vanilla. Gorgeous!
Have you tried any of these? Do you go shopping in Duty Free?

Clinique Moisture Surge is such a great product.
I like browsing the Duty Free shops but I often have to stop myself because I know I’d mostly be buying things that I didn’t need! 😛 I’m always tempted by the prices and they often have exclusives too.

I have never shopped at a Duty Free shop before! I haven’t been to the airport a lot lol so I didn’t know this was a thing! I would totally take advantage of the deals! I love what you bought. You made some great decisions on your purchases! Can’t wait to see what you bought from New York!

Hi Rachel!! Lovely haul! I’m feeling you girl! Only a make up addict would get excited 6 am in the morning on the airport. That’s something my BF can really get annoyed about, but I usually drop him somewhere haha and then go shopping by myself! As I don’t trust myself, I usually only do my duty free buying on my return trip, then I’m sure I still have the money :p. xoxo Sarah
