Before I start this post I have to point out that I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
I joined Influesnter quite a few months ago and was hugely excited to learn that they were launching Voxbox campaigns in the UK! For those who don’t know, Influenster is a site for discovering products and reading / writing reviews. Voxbox campaigns are boxes sent out with products in for people to keep and review.
Back in May I received an email telling me I was shortlisted for the first UK voxbox campaign…oh my gosh….did I leap around???!! In July I got another email saying I was in! I was being sent a box of goodies to test and review! Wow!
So….what did I get?
Max Factor Colour Elixir Universal Lip Liner
A clear lipliner that can be used with any shade of lipstick, which is great! Enriched with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E, it offers moisturisation which is perfect for me given I do suffer with dry lips and some lipsticks make dry lips look even worse! I have used this all over my lips rather than just as an outline (which I also did and it works fine!) and again it didn’t dry my lips out…other pencils have so this gets a definite thumbs up!
Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick – Shade 36, ‘Pearl Maron’
I absolutely LOVE this shade of lipstick! I own quite a few lip products but sometimes struggle with loving lipsticks as many of them are quite drying or make dry lips more obvious! This I found to be moisturising, have great pigment creating an even and bold colour and the best bit was the longevity. This lip colour stayed put despite eating and drinking and lasted pretty much all day which again I was highly impressed with.
Max Factor Honey Lacquer – Shade ‘Honey Rose’
A very pretty pink/dusky rose shade which is lovely for summer. I am not a huge fan of traditional lip glosses purely for the fact that they are so sticky so to impress me, that’s a big no-no! I have to say, after testing this product….I am impressed and I want more shades! It is super soft on the lips, almost feels like I am wearing a lip balm but has the finish of a lip gloss but without the sticky residue! Great pigment again as with the lipstick so the colour is bold and lasts. On it’s own this is a really cute, summer time colour but added on top of the Colour Elixir Lipstick and it gives another dimension to the look, makes the lipstick a bit of a softer hue if that’s the right way to describe it? Have a look for yourself…although these were taken at different times, you can see the bold colour of the lipstick versus the pinky effect of the lacquer on the top.
Would I buy these?
Absolutely! Without a doubt these products are some of my favourite lip products that I have used and definitely want to try some more shades!
