I found this Christmas Tag on a blog by supersweetserendipityblog and thought I’d have a go at this one too 🙂
1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
Santa Claus the Movie…..the original one from 1985. I was only about 4 when I started watching this but to me it’s probably the most traditional Christmas movie I have seen. In fact I must find that film this year as I’m not sure my kids have seen it!
I do actually love most Christmas movies!
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas Day….first thing in the morning, the kids are awake well before we are and they’re only allowed to open their stocking until we get up…that’s not usually long after they’re awake though!!
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
When I was a kid we always used to visit my Grandma and lots of the family would be there. To me, Christmas memories always involve family.
4. Favourite festive food?
All of it!
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
I don’t this I have a favourite Christmas gift as I love anything I have been given… 🙂
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
I love warm scents like cinnamon and orange, the scented pot-pourri decorations you can only get at Christmas, is something I love to have in the house. Gives the room a Christmassy feel.
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Family time! Whether it’s at home watching Christmas films or playing games with the kids or being at my Mum’s house having a few drinks and watching TV 🙂
8. What tops your tree?
A star 🙂 Always the last decoration to go up, everything else has to be done first!
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
That I cannot remember….but I can tell you about a present that I asked for aged about 5 that has stayed with me ever since!
When I would write anything, if I asked my Mum how a word was spelt, she would say ‘Spell it how it’s said’ so that I had a go at it. This one year I really wanted a nice new pair of tights…..but I didn’t know how to spell ‘tights’………you know where I’m going with this, I asked Santa if I could have a ‘Nice new pair of t*ts!’
My Mum recited that story so many times that even my Husband’s Best Man used it in his speech at our wedding, 15years ago!
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
The best part is being able to stop, relax and spend time doing either something or nothing with family and friends. If the weather is miserable, spending time indoors is lovely. If it was to snow, I actually love going out for a walk with the kids and dog in it 🙂
