‘Wake up to a new you’
It was only in the last couple of years that I have started buying beauty products from Marks & Spencer. I didn’t realise much before that, that they sold the ranges that they sell! In that time more brands have been added and I’m loving more and more products stocked in their stores. The beauty calendar gives a taster of a selection of those brands which is a great reason to have one!
Today’s box contains:
REN V-Cense Revitalising Night Cream

I haven’t tried many products by REN, just their Evercalm moisturiser which is a lovely rich moisturiser. I do know that lots of their products are raved about however so I’m looking forward to trying this night cream.
It claims to recharge, revitalise and intensely hydrate the skin overnight by smoothing fine lines, evening skin tone and providing antioxidant protection to ward off signs of premature skin ageing.
Ingredients include Vitamin C which helps to brighten the skin, Frankincense for a calming effect on the skin and mind and Wheatgerm to promote firmness and youthfulness.
I do currently use a night cream in my routine and find it does make a difference to my skin the next day. I will of course review this night cream once I’ve used it properly but on first reaction it is thick in texture as you’d expect with a night cream and absorbs well into the skin. My skin feels super soft and hydrated without any greasy residue. There is a scent to it, I’m assuming it is the frankincense but I am not sure what I think of it in all honesty! I’ve mentioned about the smell of a product previously being something that is personal so it may be a scent you love! With all of that said, I applied this about half an hour ago and the scent has completely dissipated – or at least I can’t smell it anymore as I could when I first applied it. Realistically the smell of a skincare product shouldn’t really matter too much!
It is paraben free, alcohol free, cruelty free, dermatologically tested, suitable for vegans and suitable for all skin types. Retailing at £72 per 100ml this 15ml tube is worth £10.80. The value for money in this calendar in 8 days is already working out great!
Do you have a beauty advent calendar? If so I’d love to know what treats you’re getting too!
