I have already written a blog on my skincare, both morning (Layering Skin care…my morning routine!) and evening (Skincare…My Nighttime routine) and I’ve mentioned the new skincare products I’ve received in my recent advent calendar blogs so I thought I’d review a couple of additions to my skincare routine!

I mentioned in one of my blogs recently that I would not be properly reviewing one of the skin care items from my advent calendar for a while as I have been trying lots of products recently and want to give my skin a break….ummmm….slight problem there….a delivery from Rodial turned up the next day and I couldn’t help it!

After trailing the Rodial peel 25 Days of Blogging – Countdown to Christmas…Day 2 I was amazed by it and had already been researching the Dragon’s Blood products.  I then received an email offering 30% off the Dragon’s Blood range – SOLD!  To me, given these products are quite pricey, having such an offer was too good to pass up!

Cleansing Water:

When I received my delivery last weekend, it was quite early so I hadn’t done my skincare (how convenient is that?!?!?) so I opened both products and used them straight away (there goes my ‘I’m giving my skin a break’!!).

I’m not sure I can properly explain my thoughts on these products other than to say they are blooming amazing!  I love both of them!  The cleansing water was so refreshing and left my skin feeling ridiculously clean, which I really didn’t expect.  I use a Micellar cleansing water currently as a makeup remover but I still wash my face.  This left my face feeling as though it had been properly cleansed.  I then spritzed the tonic (with my eyes closed!) around 3 sprays over my face.  Both products smell lovely but the tonic smells so fresh.  Once it was all dry, the skin on my face felt super soft and clean.  I looked in the mirror and my skin looked calm and bizarrely brighter, which in honesty I don’t think I’ve seen such an instant result before.  There was no redness which I sometimes even get from using just my cleanser.  I have also used the tonic over my makeup (only a quick mist) after using powders and it made my skin look so much better.

I am a total convert when it comes to Rodial now.  I am keen to try other products but I promise I will let my skin breathe for a while!!  I can’t promise I won’t buy any more products if I get a deal like the last one though!! 😛
