March Empties

Since posting my Empties in February I have been completely MIA when it comes to blogging – I am trying to get back to it so finger’s crossed!! Anyway, what better way to start than with another very late empties post!! These are my Empties from March despite being a few days away from May!! Where does the time go??

Here’s what I used up during March:

Urban Decay Razor Sharp Eyeliner

Urban Decay Razor Sharp Eyeliner
Urban Decay Razor Sharp Eyeliner

I am not usually a fan of liquid eyeliners as I’ve never been able to get on with them but this has been a staple in my makeup kit for a couple of years now and it’s hands down the best liquid eyeliner I have ever used! The brush is super fine so lends itself to help with precision when applying. The pigment is super black and stays black too, no greying or ashing out throughout the day. I also find this applies so easily over glitters where some just don’t! I use this as my eyeliner also when I do my dance competition makeup and it stays ALL DAY! I can do my makeup at 7am, dance all day and still need to focus on removing it at midnight!!

Would I repurchase?

Absolutely, I don’t even know how many of these I have used up but I always have one spare – it’s THAT good!

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
Maybelline Lasting Dramam Gel Eyeliner

This colour-intense waterproof eyeliner is what I have in my Pro Makeup kit and it’s really good and long-wearing. If I could have the Urban Decay liner in my kit I would but it’s difficult to be hygienic with an eyeliner that relies on the brush that goes back into the tube! In my kit I have two of these gel liners, one in Black and one in Brown for softer looks. This liner is easy to work with, applies well and has a great pigment to it.

Would I repurchase?

Yes, I already have so that it’s in my kit!

To see my thoughts on this head to my previous post February Empties as I have reviewed it recently!!

The Body Shop Skin Defence SPF50

The Body Shop Skin Defence SPF50
The Body Shop Skin Defence SPF50

This is another product that I have reviewed but that post was around 18 months ago but if you want to check that out you can here. Following that post I continued to use this SPF and a few other ones. This still remains one of my favourites despite the fact I am currently out of it. This is not a physical sunscreen so is not one that I would take on holiday with me but is great for a day to day SPF and works well with any skincare I’ve ever layered it with and under makeup works perfectly fine also.

Would I repurchase?

Yes. I haven’t as I have other SPFs that I am currently using (and will review soon) but yes I would.

Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara

Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara
Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara *Gifted*

This mascara was part of the 2018 M&S Beauty Advent calendar which I was gifted. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this mascara as I had tried another version called Black Magic which I wasn’t impressed with as it left me with panda eyes by the end of the day. This Lash Alert Mascara seemed much better. The brush is a lot easier to use and covers my lashes with minimal effort.

Would I repurchase?

Possibly … which doesn’t help I know! It’s a nice mascara but wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve used … but it’s certainly not one of the bad ones so I would definitely say it’s worth trying if you’ve been thinking about it!!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

I’ve had this for a little while as I hate to admit it but I am terrible for neglecting my hair (don’t worry I do wash it!!) but when it comes to treatments and hair masks, I don’t reach for them as often as I should! This Elasticizer is a pre-shampoo, conditioning treatment and I should definitely use it more as my hair is super soft when I’ve used this. I do have another tube of this that I received in the M&S 2018 Beauty Advent calendar so really should use it up!

Would I repurchase?

Yes, if I got my act together and used things like this on a regular basis this is definitely one I would use more. It smells divine, as does the current one I’m using which is Pomegranate and Cassis …. lovely!!

Max Factor Honey Lacquer

Max Factor Honey Lacquer
Max Factor Honey Lacquer *Gifted*

This ‘Honey Rose’ shade of Honey Lacquer was sent to me by Influenster to review back in 2017 and I used it alot then forgot I had it! So I have had it open for a while longer than I should but it’s time for it to go now!! When applied this smooth lip colour is more like a tinted lip balm than a gloss because it’s lovely and soft without a stickiness that alot of lip glosses have!

Would I repurchase?

Yes. I haven’t but I would. It looks lovely and pretty on it’s own but is a great topper for another lipstick to give it a bit of a different dimension. Highly recommended over many other lipglosses!

So those are my March Empties – with April’s just around the corner!! Have you tried any of these?
