New York City 2018 – Sephora Haul

As with my 2017 New York haul, I am splitting this down into a Sephora Haul and then anything other than Sephora! Purely because I think this would be one HUGE post if I didn’t! As we don’t have Sephora here in the UK, it is pretty exciting to be stepping into one … or three 😛

I hadn’t exactly planned a shopping list given I knew nothing about the trip so I didn’t even know what I wanted!! I managed to find plenty of things of course!! This post is purely to show you what my purchase choices were as opposed to a review as there are some items I am yet to try out in a bid to try and use up some of the products I have open already first!!

So here’s what I bought…

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette

I am a huge fan of the Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes since purchasing the Modern Renaissance edition, which is probably my most used set of eyeshadows. Many palettes that I’ve had in the past have ended up with me hitting the pan on one or two shades before getting bored but the Modern Renaissance is a true classic and I use it a lot, so much so that I have bought one for my pro-kit! This little beauty however is the Soft Glam palette. Another collection of soft, super pigmented, highly blendable shades and another palette to love! 🙂

Violet Voss Berry Burst Palette

I didn’t even know I needed this! A mini palette of mattes and shimmers that I’ve used already more than I thought I would! I initially thought this would be a fun palette to have in my pro-kit. I have to say, it hasn’t made it that far because I love it! Having used this a few times now, I would love to try more from Violet Voss.

Stila Aura Alight Glitter & Glow Set

This cute set of two highlighters and four liquid eyeshadows. This is actually one item that I haven’t had chance to play with yet! Not even swatched … perhaps that’s required as a minimum for Instagram! I already have a ‘Kitten Karma’ shade (which is also in this set) and it’s super pretty. I’ll feature more on these when I’ve had chance to use them.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

I’m always keen to try new eye creams, I’m not too worried when it comes to wrinkles as such but my under eyes can be quite dry so having heard good things about this eye treatment from Kiehl’s I decided to pick it up. I am trying to make a conscious effort to use products up before opening more however so I haven’t tried this yet. As usual, I will review at some point.

Masks

Sephora and Dr Jart Masks
Masks

Last time I went to Sephora I picked up some eye masks which I really like so I picked up a selection again this time. I used the Pomegranate one this morning and it left my under eye area feeling soft, hydrated and more awake. I am looking forward to relaxing in the bath with the Dr Jart mask!

Caudalíe Vinoperfect Essence

Vinoperfect Essence contains glycolic acid – an Alpha-Hydroxy-Acid which gently exfoliates along with extracts from white peony to revitalise skin. It also contains Caudalie’s Grape Water to hydrate, soothe and moisturise. I have a small version of this that I received with a Space NK order a while ago and I really like it. It is gentle enough to be added in to my current routine and although it contains Glycolic Acid (the concentration isn’t disclosed on the box) I checked with Caudalie that it can be used in the same routine as my Glycolic toner, and it can.

Milk Makeup ‘Meet The Fam’ Set

Another item that I’m yet to fully test out is this set from Milk Makeup. I have had a full size version of the Cooling Water before which I absolutely love, especially in the summer! I’m planning to take this mini version on holiday with me in August. Everything else, I will review fully soon!

Belif Aqua Bomb ‘The True Cream’ and ‘Sleeping Mask’

I am an avid fan of Clinique Moisture Surge and Formula Absolute Sleep Cream as my AM and PM moisturisers. That said, when put in Sephora, the possibilities are all in front of you for new products to try that you wouldn’t usually. Having read great reviews on these products I decided to grab them!

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

This particular product is one I currently use but I have the small trial size version that a friend bought for me from Yesstyle. The small pot has lasted ages but when I saw the full size, I couldn’t resist as I absolutely love it. It is a pretty thick balm that feels super smooth and really helps my lips which get so dry, especially in the winter. It is enriched with Vitamin C and antioxidants and has a wonderful berry smell to it. I can highly recommend this one and I will of course do a fuller review when the smaller pot appears in my empties post.

Blender Cleanser & Sephora Solid Clean Brush cleanser

I bought both of these purely to see what they were like. Both are great and clean both brushes and my Beauty Blenders really well. There’s not much else to say about these, they do exactly as it says on the tin!

Tarte ‘Beach, Sleep, Repeat’ Collection

I haven’t tried many products from Tarte but I do love their highlighters and blushers. This mini set of their Amazonian Clay blusher in First Class and Smart Mascara was too cute to pass by! The blusher has been added to my pro-kit and the mascara to my stockpile of mini mascaras waiting to be used when I have emptied my current full size!

Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder

I am an Hourglass fan! Simple! So when they released their Veil setting powder I really wanted to try it. At the same time, being a premium priced brand, I didn’t want to pay out for the full size without knowing what it’s like so I was pleased to get my hands on this smaller size so that I can try it out. I will report back on how it compares to the other powders that I currently use such as RCMA no-colour powder, Coty Airspun and Nars Translucent setting powder. It is said to blur imperfections, minimise the appearance of fine lines and pores … I have high hopes for this!

So that’s my Sephora haul! Have you tried any of these products? I’d love to know!

Oh my goshh! Those Milk makeup sticks are so gorgeous. I keep seeing them on my feed and really want to try them. I shouldn’t think you really needed a shopping list when in Sephora! That said, since we don’t have them in the UK you don’t want to forget anything! Lovely post and pics! x
