November Empties products

November Empties

I say this so often but I cannot believe we are almost at the end of 2018!  November came and went in a flash with so much happening – details of which will be in some upcoming posts … from Blackpool to New York and everything in between!

So, what did I use up in November?

November Empties

Kiko Volume Attraction Mascara

Kiko Mascara

My friend introduced me to this mascara, raving about it being her current favourite mascara and at £7.20 it’s great for the price too.

Kiko claim that this mascara gives you perfect, volumised, well-defined lashes.  It contains carbon black pigment to give a true black colour and is enriched with vitamins and panthenol to protect and strengthen lashes.

I love this!  It’s buildable without causing horrible clumpy, spidery lashes yet removes easily when it comes to taking my makeup off, reducing panda eyes!

Would I repurchase?

I already have.  I have one open, a spare and two in my pro-kit … it’s THAT good!  I highly recommend this mascara.

Formula Absolute Ultimate Sleep Cream

Formula Absolute Sleep Cream

I first tried this sleep cream in the 2016 M&S Beauty Advent calendar and ‘Absolutely’ loved it!  When I had finished that sample tube I went out and bought two pots!  It has since appeared in the 2017 calendar and I believe it’s also in the 2018 calendar!  I love the sample size tubes as they’re great for taking away on holiday without taking the heavier pot.

It is described by M&S as ‘100% intuitive skincare’ that makes you look like you’ve had 8 hours sleep…even when you haven’t!  The claims are that skin appears less fatigued, deep lines appear reduced, firmer skin, healthier looking skin with improved elasticity, softer feeling skin and more!  It is Hypoallergenic, suitable for all skin types, cruelty free and paraben free!

It’s my favourite PM moisturiser and works well with whatever I have applied underneath it no matter how many layers of other products I’ve gone for!  My skin the following morning looks and feels great!  Calm, brighter and super hydrated.  LOVE IT!

Would I repurchase?

Ummm…..well, I just have … in fact I hate to run out of this!

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

Oskia Rennaisance Cleansing Gel

This is my go-to cleanser for my AM routine.  It has vitamins A, C and E, Omega 6, Starflower oil, pumpkin enzymes, Chamomile and Rose.  It smells AMAZING and my skin feels soft and awake.  I apply this to dry skin, massage it in then add water to work it more, removing with a wet flannel.  This particular tube was from a Caroline Hirons x Space NK Clean Decoded box which I then took to Spain on holiday as it’s easier to take away than the usual size.

Would I repurchase?

Yes.  I always repurchase this before I run out.  I now buy the 200ml supersize as it lasts forever and it’s also better value for money!

Clinique Take The Day Off Balm

Clinique Take The Day Off Balm

This makeup remover does exactly what it says on the tin … it literally takes the day off.  All traces of makeup are gone without stripping the skin.  I apply this to dry skin, smooth it around my face including my eye area then remove it with a wet flannel.  I always then follow this with a second cleanser to clean my skin but this balm does a great job at removing whatever is on my skin.  The only time I wouldn’t use this is if I have been home all day and have not worn makeup or SPF.

Would I repurchase?

Yes.  Again, another product that I hate to run out of so I’ve just opened my next one!

NIOD Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist (SDSM)

NIOD SDSM

The SDSM spray from NIOD is a different kind of spritz to all others that I use.  I use toners and hydrating sprays but this doesn’t really fall into that category.   It is classed as a ‘Dermal Treatment Mist’ which helps to protect the skin from oxidative stress, dermal water loss and inflammation.  It can be applied to the face and body and as frequently as you like.  The technologies in this mist are extremely complex as far as me reading the products description are concerned but in a nut shell:

  •  Yeast-derived Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) fights against oxidation
  • Purified North American Four O’Clock Flower derrivative helps to reduce the look of inflammation
  • Marine Exopolysaccharides help to prevent water loss which in turns helps to keep the skin hydrated
Would I repurchase?

Absolutely.  I already have.  It’s a very refreshing spray post-cleansing but knowing it is doing so much more than just refreshing my skin is great!  My skin feels super hydrated when I’ve been using this.  I have incorporated it into both my AM and PM routine after cleansing.

Clinique Moisture Surge – Travel Size

Clinique Moisture Surge

If you follow my blog or Instagram, you’ll already know that I am a huge fan and regular user of the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser.  This little travel pot was great for my recent trips away.  Moisture Surge is a light-weight gel moisturiser that hydrates the skin as if giving it a drink of water. It works fabulously underneath makeup and also works well with layering skincare.

Would I repurchase?

I always do … in fact I have two full size as back ups having also just opened a new pot!  I love it.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair – Travel Size

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Advanced Night Repair is a classic Estee Lauder serum is suitable for all skin types and claims to be ideal for multiple signs of ageing, age prevention, dryness, dehydration, lines and wrinkles, dullness and loss of radiance.  I find this serum to be calming on the skin.  If I have used acids in my routine, this is a great serum to follow it with.   It is a great general anti-ageing serum and can also be mixed with foundation if you want to use it during the day!

Would I repurchase?

I do have a full size of this still unopened but purely because I’ve been trialling so many other serums recently … it will be used!  Yes I would repurchase and as with the Clinique, this travel size is perfect for a few days away!

So, that’s it for November!  I’m pretty sure that I’ll blink and it will be time to do December’s empties!  Do you spot any favourites in this post?  Let me know!
