March Empties – Skincare

I cannot believe it is 19th April … really?  It seems a little odd to be writing a post now on my empty products from March but the last three weeks have flown by!

This particular post was going to be a bit of a lengthy one given I seem to have finished quite a few products at the same time so I am splitting this down into two posts…Skincare and Everything but skincare!

So…here goes:

Clinique Take The Day Off Balm

Clinique Take The Day Off Balm

One product that has been on previous blog posts is this makeup removing balm from Clinique.  Simply, this removes makeup / SPF in the first part of my evening cleanse.  It removes all traces of eye makeup with zero irritation unlike so many other makeup removers!

Would I repurchase?

Yes, I am on my third or fourth!

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm

I have mentioned this cleansing balm on numerous occasions so won’t go into too much detail but I use this as my second cleanse (skin cleanse) in the evening.  It smells absolutely divine, smoothes on as a balm and melts to an oil which then cleanses the skin effortlessly.  I then remove it with a flannel and my face is left feeling super soft and clean.  It’s amazingly gentle for use around the eyes too.  **TIP – keep it in the fridge during the summer…two reasons, one is that it stops it from melting and second is that on a hot summers day, a cold cleansing balm is wonderful!!

Would I repurchase?

Yes!  This is probably my 3rd pot!

NIOD Mastic Must

Mastic Must is one of those products that I was really unsure of to begin with…until I used it!  I was always complaining about my pore size, like many people do.  This was available in a set as part of the Black Friday Bargain so I thought I would give it a try.  It has a natural smell to it but not off-putting.  After cleansing my skin, I then applied the mask and relaxed for ten minutes then removed it with a flannel.  My face feels so smooth after using this and looks smooth too!  There is an optional additional step to use a hairdryer on the face for 15 seconds…which of course I also had to do!  Mastic Must works to clean and refine pores giving the appearance of a reduction in the number of pores and the size of them also.  Using the hairdryer enhances the immediate visible results of using the mask!

Would I repurchase?

Yes, I haven’t yet but this did make a difference to my skin immediately so it’s on my shopping list.

Clinique Fresh Pressed

Clinique Fresh Pressed

I have reviewed this previously and more information can be found here…Clinique Sets – Fresh Pressed Vitamin C   The packets of cleanser last for a week, however I always find the serum lasts much longer than the week.  You can tell that the vitamin C starts to degrade after so long, hence the reason this is designed as a one-week treatment.  The colour of the serum does change slightly but again this doesn’t happen until the serum has been open for around 2 weeks.  I mix this with moisturiser morning and night as a continuous course until it runs out.  Now that this one has run out, I will give my skin a break from it and will then use it again when I feel I need to.  It does work to brighten the skin and the cleanser does the same.  It is a great morning cleanse and I feel it really wakes my skin up!

Would I repurchase?

I already have another waiting in my draw!

Zelens Power D Treatement Drops

Zelens Power D drops

This was a purchase via the Cult Beauty x Caroline Hirons box and was one of the 6 products included that I was desperate to try!  I had read a lot about it on Caroline’s blog and decided it was a must!  It is a high potency serum containing provitamin D which seeks to ‘Replenish lipids and fortifies skin barrier function, help build skin’s resilience and protect against environmental aggressors’ (Taken from Zelens.com).  I used this mostly at night due to the consistency as it is almost like an oil.  I did use it on some mornings but not if I was in a rush as this does take time to sink in (which is in no way a bad thing!).  My skin felt nourished using this and I do wish it was within my budget to continue using in my routine every single day!

Would I repurchase?

If money were no question then I would be using this every day as I love it.  At £110 for 30ml this is out of my price range, however it does last a long time!

Clinique Moisture Surge

Clinique Moisture Surge

Clinique Moisture Surge has been spoken about a stack of times on my blog through one post or another so really doesn’t need an introduction!  It was featured in my Morning Skincare Routine post most recently.  I use this every day and I love it.  I’d say it is the perfect moisturiser no matter what your skin type is.  I am oily/combination and it is so comfortable on my skin.  There is also an intense version for people with a drier skin type.

Would I repurchase?

I have just opened another 30m pot and I have to admit…when I went to Iceland in January I bought a 75ml pot in Duty Free, then boarded the plane and saw they had an additional 20% off so had to buy another…which turned out to be the new 72-hour hydration version, so I think that answers whether or not I would repurchase this!

So those are my Skincare empties for March…there are more empties to come from March so watch this space!

The Clinque moisture surge is one of my FAVORITES. I’ve gotten little sample/travel sized pots as a gift from Sephora and I am just obsessed. I think I’d like to try the makeup removing balm at some point as well. Thanks for sharing 😁💗

I want to try the Clinique Take off the day balm 💜 I usually like most of Clinique’s skin care. For a while I used their moisturizer that was yellow. xx

Clinique is just a great brand – they stock so many of my favourite products! That balm and moisturiser – amazing! I just opened a new Moisture Surge too and like you, bought from Duty Free. I’ll have to check your review about the Vitamin C serum after this post…I bought that too but I haven’t opened mine yet. I don’t really know what to expect!
