Sephora Haul!

The one shop that I couldn’t wait to get to in New York was Sephora!  Knowing the brands they sell are not necessarily available in the UK meant I was likely to be hunting out any Sephora store I could find and just visiting them all! Haha!

I had a few items on a wishlist that I wanted to check out.  Upon walking into Sephora you’re greeted by a plethora of colours, brands, scents and everything else the store has to offer!  Just walking through the doors, I was in cosmetic heaven!

The list on this post isn’t all from one store, I made sure I visited a few 😛

This is just an over-view of what I bought rather than a full on review – a lot of these items need their own post!!

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil

Clarins Lip Oil

I’ve had my eye on this lip oil since I bought the ‘Tangerine‘ shade which I LOVE!  The Mint version is clear but lip-plumping.  These lip oils are like wearing a lipgloss without the stickiness of some glosses.  I haven’t opened this yet as I have another gloss on the go but I will review these as I have a feeling I’ll be building a collection of these!!

Sephora Outrageous Effect Volume Lip Gloss

Sephora Lip Gloss

I wanted to try this in the Universal shade but in all of the Sephoras that I tried I could not find it in stock anywhere so I decided to opt for this gorgeous pinky shade ‘Exponential Pink‘   Another one I am yet to try with a makeup look but again, will review this when I’ve used it for a while.

Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation

Sephora8

I had a sample of this foundation over a year ago and I remember thinking that this was one for the ‘wishlist’!  I am oily/combination skin (as I’ve mentioned before) and this foundation is perfect!  It applies effortlessly and blends like a dream.  It dries to a matte powder finish but without looking caked on.  I decided to finally treat myself to this!

Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour

Sephora9

How gorgeous is this?  I’m loving coral colours at the moment for anything, be it lipstick, nails, cheeks, it really is a beautiful shade.  I had a miniature palette from Laura Mercier which was for eyes and cheeks but was a limited edition.  The blush in that was Tangerine so to find this ‘Lush Tangerine’ blush, I just had to get it!  I love it!

Benefit Galifornia

Sticking with the coral theme, I also picked up this miniature version of the Galifornia blush from Benefit….again, gorgeous shade!  One of my favourite blushers from Benefit was Dandelion because of how super soft it was….Benefit blushers have remained a favourite of mine since and I can’t wait to start using this!

Stilla Magnificent Metals Glitter

Another item from my wishlist was this Stilla Glitter eyeshadow in ‘Kitten Karma’.  Swatching these glitters made it so difficult to chose just one and there are more on my wishlist!  They are super pigmented and look great either on their own or with a deep transition shade and dark outer ‘v’ …. perfect for the party season!  Lets see how many more of these I am tempted by before the year is out! Haha!

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day

I am a fan of Batiste dry shampoo between washes, not that I use it too often as I don’t personally believe that they are great for your hair if used all of the time but sometimes they are just needed!  I had heard great things about the Living Proof range so wanted to try this.  All I can say is, I am converted!  This smells great and works wonders!  I will definitely be repurchasing this!!

Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Sephora6

Wow!  This body cream smells utterly divine!  There is no other way to describe it!  This rich cream is absorbed really well after a shower and leaves my skin feeling super soft.  It is great to also find a body product that doesn’t contain nasties like parabens and sulphates.  It contains Guaraná, Capuaçu Butter Açai and Coconut Oil……blended together to support circulation, restore skin’s elasticity, help keep skin looking young and to help soften and moisturise.  I honestly can’t rave about this enough!  A separate post will be up soon about this….if you haven’t tried it…you need to!!

Roses de Chloe Rollerball perfume

Sephora4

I love these rollerball perfumes as they’re ideal for popping in your handbag and having your favourite perfume to hand.  I have a few different perfumes but hadn’t tried Chloe before.  As soon as I tested this I had to have it!!  It’s a soft, floral scent, a ‘pretty’ smell.  Key notes are:  Bergamot, Damascena Rose Essence and Amber Musk.  This is definitely a new favourite!

Beauty Blender

Sephora3

My favourite applicator for foundation and in fact most makeup products is the original Beauty Blender.  I also picked up the Micro Mini version as these are great for applying concealer.

Sephora Pomegranate Eye Mask

Sephora2

I actually used this eye mask as soon as I got home!  I was so tired it was pretty much the first thing that I did!!!  Anti-fatigue and Energising, this eye mask was a welcome treat after such a long flight and zero sleep!!  I would definitely purchase these again!

Sephora Favourites – Glow For It

Sephora faves2

$40 for a 7 piece set  including a full size Benefit High Beam was a great deal!  The set contains (with the exception of the High Beam), 3 powder highlighters and 3 liquid / cream highlighters.

The one product I wanted to cry over (yes, it was that dramatic!!) was the Cover FX drops.  I had been wanting to try those for so long, I finally get them and during a move around of all of my products whilst I was taking Instagram photos of them, I dropped the bag on the floor and the bottle smashed!  My carpet still bears the scars!! Haha!  From what I could tell by what was all over my hands, this would be a beautiful glow had it of actually made it to my cheekbones! Again, I will review this set once I have tried all of them but the Tarte highlight is AMAZING!!!!! (….it also smells great too!!).

Milk Makeup Cooling Water

Sephora

After seeing this on Caroine Hirons blog (yes, I know, another one!!), I decided to try it.  It is a caffiene infused gel stick which helps to perk up the skin and de-puff eyes.  I did go a bit OTT with this because it feels sooooooooo good!  I was a bit skeptical about how well this would actually work under the eyes as I’ve used plenty of products that say they de-puff but this was brilliant and my eyes felt instantly refreshed!

With all of these items I generated a few VIB points and thought I might aswell trade them in whilst I was there so these are my miniature freebies!

Sephorafree

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask, Prada Candy Perfume and Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturiser.  I haven’t tried any of these yet but will let you know my thoughts when I do.

So that’s all of my New York Shopping Hauls complete!  Check out my other posts listed at the bottom of this page if you’ve missed any of my New York trip series!

Thanks lovely. I loved even just walking around Sephora and wish I’d have bought a few more things but in fairness I only came home with $100! My sister thinks thats appalling however and can’t believe I came home with any money!! Haha! I think she’s disowning me! 😛 xx
