Glamglow Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment

Glamglow PowerMud Dualcleanse Treatment Mask

I have been a fan Glamglow for quite a while, having in the past used their original Supermud and then Thirstymud treatments.  I do like their masks anyway so I jumped at the chance of trying one that I hadn’t tried before which is the Powermud Dual Cleanse Treatment.

The key ingredients are:

  • OILIXER™: Consists of prickly pear oil, pine oil, frankincense oil, and myrrh oil; hand harvested from cactus fruit, tree sap resin, and tree pine needle to enrich and deliver potent nourishing cleansing ingredients.
  • CLAYTOX™: A four-clay blend featuring rare Brazilian white clay; provides an ultragentle skin detoxification action for a maximum yet delicate cleanse.
  • PUREIFIER™: Dramatically purifies and conditions the skin. Teaoxi Velvet Leaf: Nourishes while providing maximum cleansing benefits.

This once to twice a week mask is said to be gentle yet effective at giving the skin a real deep cleanse by combining ‘Power of Mud & the Power of Oil’ in one 10minute treatment.

The mask is a strange (in a nice way) consistency as I am used to masks that are quite thick.  This applies easily to the skin with the oily-mud texture that whilst it feels like is has exfoliating particles, it is not harsh at all.

Masks are something that I don’t religiously use every week or twice a week but I do like them providing I feel that they are ‘doing something’ to my skin.  My regular twice-daily skincare routine is something that I don’t expect immediate results from but for some reason I expect more from a ‘treatment’ than my regular products.

When I applied the mask, I didn’t need a lot to cover my face.  I think the thinner consistency aided this.  Within a few minutes I could feel a tingle, but not a sting so it felt like it could be ‘working’.  The mask then dries and after ten minutes is ready to be washed off.  Removal of this product was easy and it washed off with my regular flannel and warm water absolutely fine.  (Nothing worse than having mask bits left on your skin!!)

My thoughts and Would I buy?

I really like this mask.  I have used it three times and still have enough in the sample pot for another one.  When I rinsed it off my skin immediately felt fresh, clean and soft.  All further skincare that I applied after this went straight into my skin so I really felt that the treatment had perhaps gotten rid of any buildup on my skin.  I had a glow too which was great!  I would purchase this product and in fact this has spurred me into looking at Glamglow’s other treatments that I am yet to try!!

Just popped over to see how you found the mask. It’s lovely isn’t it. It’s the only one I’ve tried from Glamglow. I’m like you not really a regular use face mask kinda gal but I will try one here and there.
    Lovely post and pics! Xx

I have tried 2 masks from glamglow (the black and the blue ones) and while I was a bit worried about the tingling sensation of the black mask I think it worked great on my skin and I enjoyed using it. I’m really curious about their “cleansers” so great to read your review!!

I’ve tried several GlamGlow masks but have never even heard of this one! I like the idea behind it and am glad to see you like it. I will try to get my hands on it! Btw, does it have a scent?
