Nail Buddy by Majique – A Review

I was recently sent a lovely parcel from Majique Nail Buddy, which as you can see below contained some beautiful nail polishes and a Nail Buddy nail polish holder.

Nail Buddy by Majique

The Nail Buddy has to be one of the simplest yet clever ideas to aid nail painting!  I have seen various holders, generally in the form of something that sits on your finger as you paint, knowing me however, I would probably turn my hand upside down to get a better angle and tip it everywhere so I have stayed clear!!  The Nail Buddy nail polish holder however has a flat base that can be put on a surface and also shaped sides so, if like me you paint your nails in front of the TV, it can be easily positioned say between your knees and it keeps the bottle still and accessible!  The amount of times I’ve had that heart-stopping moment as my nail polish bottle tips either because I haven’t got it on a flat surface, or even if I have, I’ve misjudged the bottle and knocked it flying across the table or floor!

(Yes…..that third photo is between my feet!!  I sit in all kinds of positions to paint my nails!! Hahaha!!)

As you can see from the fourth photo, it doesn’t just hold bottles by Majique, that is just my usual base coat.  I have tried it with numerous bottles and it grips them well.  Just pop the bottle into the holder and twist it down to ensure it is secure and start painting!

The colours that I received in the set which is available on their website are:      Aubergine, Suggestive, Lavender Fields and Spendthrift.

There are various colour options which as a set of four colours, the Nail Buddy holder and a glass nail file are £22.  Smaller sets are also available, as are nail files and nail treatments.  Single nail colours are sold individually also at £4.

The polishes themselves are beautiful colours.  ‘Spendthrift’ really isn’t shown with enough justice on a photo…it is gorgeous!   The brushes are a decent size to cover the nail without dripping or flooding the nail but carry enough product so as not to need to keep dipping back into the bottle just to cover a nail!!  I personally always apply two coats of colour but you can get away with just the one with these if you’re in a hurry.

If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I paint my nails quite a lot.  Believe it or not, looking at the photos of my nails that I post, I can’t believe they’re my nails as I used to have very short nails, as a kid I bit my nails and they’ve always been weak, snap quite low on the nail and nail polish just chips straight off.

I had recently written a post Nailed it! My favourite base and top coat! which keeps my nail colour on so in terms of chipping, and using glass nail files drastically reduce how much my nails have been breaking.   I put a question out on one of my posts to ask my followers how I can get my nails to grow, stay strong and so on.  Cuticle oil was one suggestion and when this parcel from Majique turned up I was so pleased to see it also contained a Mango Cuticle Oil!  This I have been using this (not every day as I am bad for that!!) but I do believe applying the oil is really helping my nails.

I apply this to my cuticles after as regularly as I remember!!  I am trying to get better at this and in fact my nails are now longer and stronger than when this photo was taken!

Would I purchase?

Definitely!  I have already been checking out what other colours I want!!  There are some beautiful colours available and I certainly will be placing an order for more!  I need a clear-out of my nail polish draw anyway as I have some in there that I have had for years and really do need to go!!  Time to make space for some more!

When I saw that this can be held between the knees I almost jumped for joy, I tend to hold the bottle between my knees when I’m painting my nails on the bed, I can feel the bottle starting to slide downwards but I keep dipping my brush like I’m playing chicken with the bottle! This would be perfect for me. I’ll have to look at getting one. I thought it was a hand-worn one so all the better!
Gorgeous polishes, love the purple with accent ring finger. Also I’m a big fan of cuticle oil.
    Lovely detailed post as always!

If I hadn’t added the code for discount before you read it, if you’re going to order note the code I’ve added. It’s not an affiliate one, just a discount of 10% on orders over £10. xx

😂I’ll check it out. I don’t mind if it is an affiliate link, hell yeah why not earn a few quid from the clicks. Blogging takes a lot of time and effort. Every little helps. I use them. Although with wp.com you’re not allowed I believe!
        Thanks lovely! 😘😘

Yes thought so, I’ve written a post about going Self-hosted and that was one thing I mentioned, a bit more freedom with advertising etc. We talked about it I know. My page views per month are just over 4,000 average currently. I’m trying to get them up to 5,000 then I can go crazy with hopefully more productive advertising 😂😘😘
