May Empties

June already? Seriously…..how did that happen?   My Grandma always used to say when talking about the date ‘ooooh, soon be Christmas!’…….when I think now how fast time goes, I think she was right!  😛

So, the products I used up in May were:

Facetune 5

Pixi Glow Tonic – Travel Size

Facetune 2

You’ll have probably seen me raving about this acid toner on previous posts or on Instagram but if not, check out Pixi Glow Tonic….a review 🙂 and almost all of my recent skincare routine updates!  This was just a travel size bottle given to me by someone who didn’t really rate it, at the end of the day, not all products work for everyone!

Would I repurchase?

Yes, already have…back to the usual full size bottle 🙂

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream

Facetune 3

Shea and Cocoa Butter, Almond and Coconut Oil, Lime Oil and Kiwi Juice Water…….go on, tell me that doesn’t sound AMAZING!  The scent of this body butter is absolutely divine!  Despite being a buttercream it is pretty lightweight and absorbs relatively quickly, but not immediately.  Very moisturising and a great wake-me-up kind of scent.

Would I repurchase?

This was a small size from a set was given at Christmas, would I buy the full size?  Absolutely.  They’re currently on offer at Boots so I think I need to head there this weekend!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

Facetune 4

Smashed Brown Sugar, Sweet Lime, Almond Oil and Macadamia Grains, this body scrub is great for body exfoliation.  I use this as part of my tanning prep leading up to dance competitions to ensure smooth, even tan application and longevity of wear.   I then also use it to remove those final bits of tan as it wears off.   Apart from that, I use this scrub probably twice a week on average.  As with the above body cream, the scent is great.  Light and fresh and it contains very effective exfoliation particles.

Would I repurchase?

Yes!  I already have, in fact I think the one I have just opened is my third pot, I love this stuff!

Ted Baker XO perfume

Facetune 6

Perfumes I believe are a personal thing when it comes to whether or not you like it.  It’s not all down to how it smells in the air or sprayed onto a bit of card, but for many people, a scent changes once on their skin so all I can say about this perfume is that to me, it is a very pretty, floral but not too heavy scent.   For those that understand the layering behind fragrance this was taken from The Fragrance Shop’s website:

Ted Baker XO for Women is a sparkling luminous floral fragrance. Top note is african orange flower; middle notes are jasmine, gardenia and tuberose; base notes are powdery musks and heliotrope.

Would I repurchase?

Yes!  I was given this in an adorable little set of 5 fragrances for Christmas and this is the one I favoured the most.  As this is now empty, I have been good and actually moved onto the next miniature before I purchase it but yes, I would love to buy the full size of this.

Benefit Maybe Baby

Facetune

I LOVE this perfume…simple as that!  Very pretty, fresh fragrance which again I have checked the ‘notes’ on as per the Benefit Cosmetics Website but suffices to say it is a beautiful perfume.

  • Top notes: apricot & white ginger

  • Middle notes: fresh water blossoms of cyclamen, lychee and bergamot

  • Base notes: white musk, Himalayan poppy and warm peach

Would I repurchase?

I have had a few bottles of this over the years, plus the body cream, which I have in my draw as part of a Christmas set I believe.   Yes, I would definitely buy this again.

Have you used any of these products?  What did you think of them?

That’s all for May’s empties!

I can’t wait to bust open my bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic – I got it because of all the rave reviews!
So impressive that you finished TWO bottles of perfume – I can never seem to finish any perfume. So bravo!
