IMATS Mini Haul

If you saw my previous post IMATS London 2017 – a day out with make-up! you’ll know that I treated myself to a few purchases after putting my makeup buying ban on hold for the day…well for in the event only!

Unfortunately what’s now on hold is my trip to New York!  So, I’ve decided after almost 6months of a ban, I will be lifting the ban until I book my new flights. (Hopefully I’ll be able to book in mid-July to go in September so finger’s crossed!)

Anyway, back to IMATS!

I’ve heard great things about this setting powder.  Did I need another setting powder?  No!  Did I want to try this?  Hell yeah!   Raved about by many beauty addicts and Makeup Artists, with 20% off, I had to give this a go!

Mac Prep+Prime Fix+

This is a repurchase for me.  I don’t use it to set my makeup but I do use it when I want to use an eyeshadow wet for a foiled effect.  I also sometimes use it to dampen my beauty blender for blending my foundation or contour.  A great product.

StylPro Makeup Brush Cleanser

If you haven’t seen my review of the SylPro Makeup Brush cleaner device, check out my post Make up brush cleaning….a little bit of OCD!   I usually use a bit of baby shampoo and antibacterial soap to clean my brushes.  Unfortunately for some products such as Estee Lauder’s double wear, it can be difficult to remove from brushes.  This does the job!  It was demonstrated on the stand at IMATS but I have seen it on YouTube videos also so I’m looking forward to trying this out.

This really doesn’t need an introduction!  This is the best tool for applying foundation and as I’ve tried, not only foundation but blending both cream and powder contour and applying blush, bronzer and even setting powder.   I absolutely love this little pink sponge.

This was recommended by my friend Jess who already uses this, plus I know my sister has also repurchased this too.  Said to be a real multi-tasker as a primer, moisturiser and makeup remover, containing essential fatty acids and vitamins to help balance the skin.  I’m quite fussy with moisturisers but happy to give this a go under recommendation so I shall report back!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – Beloved

I am loving Corals at the moment and this shade is beautiful!  An apparent 24hour wear, high pigment liquid lipstick that is meant to stay around even after eating and drinking.  Looking forward to putting that to the test!

Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadow – Doce

The colour pay off of this eyeshadow literally had me turning around to Jess in shock when we were at the Kat Von D stand, I swatched it turned to her with an ‘Ooooooohhhhhhhhhh’ and very wide eyes! Haha!  I had to buy this shade!  I can’t wait to get creating some looks with this.

That is everything I purchased and to be honest I could have bought so many more things but I was being restrained given it was just a ‘days grace’ from my makeup buying ban!

I definitely think I should allow myself to pause my makeup buying ban….I need cheering up because of having to cancel my trip with just three weeks to go thanks to being under medical investigation!  Once I rebook my flights, I restart my ban…deal?  Let me know what you think in the comments below!!

    Ah sorry to read you’ve had to cancel your New York trip, how disappointing! Hope you get to go soon!

      Thank you, I’ve provisionally rebooked the hotel because the cancellation on it is literally up to a few days before so I’ve rearranged for the first week of October so providing my Cardiologist appointment gives me a diagnosis then I can get insurance and get the flights sorted! xx

      Ah thank you lovely 💕 I’ve now lifted my spending ban until I rebook my flights to New York…hopefully I can book them after my hospital appt in July so until then I’m trying not to go mad but I have a few purchases in mind 😂😂. X
