Too Faced…Better Than Sex Mascara

I couldn’t help it….I had to get it….despite having ordered the Younique 3D lashes (review will be on soon)…I had to buy the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.   In my defence, I had a gift card for Debenhams soooooo…….  😛

YouTube, WordPress, Instagram, everywhere…..this Mascara is absolutely everywhere!  The packaging is very sturdy and not like most mascaras I have used.

I applied this to one eye first to see the difference ….. as you can see….there’s a difference!!!!

I’m pretty impressed with this mascara!  It really does lengthen and lift lashes making my lashes look fuller and my eyes more open.   I haven’t used 3 coats yet, but 2 coats does as the description says and gives the lashes an even more fuller look.

I would recommend this mascara – so far I’ve used it a few times and it’s great.  The brush shape is a little bizarre and I don’t think it helps with getting to the smaller lashes on the inside of the eye but I’d still recommend it although if your lashes are almost none existent I don’t think it would work personally….I could be wrong but that’s just what I think!

    I have the younique 3D mascara it is amazing on my eyelashes for adding length and volume but I just find the fibres drop down my face during the day , be interested to see your review! But this mascara looks amazing I may have to make a cheeky purchase!X

      Thanks for reading. Yeah I’ve tried the lashes from Younique and I’m waiting to see what I think next time. They were great but like you found small fibres dropped. I thought maybe I used too much so am going to test them again. I’ll be updating this review again tomorrow. I had black under my eyes tonight that I assumed was me brushing my hand over my eyes at some point but another blogger commented on my Instagram pic that she found it dropped by the end of the day so I’m going to see if the same thing happens tomorrow. Hopefully not!! X

    Maybe, It’s only me who doesn’t think that it is something out of the world. There are other mascaras out there which work just as great. What I was expecting was it will look natural , clump free, and non-crusty but I don’t think it is worth the hype and steep price of it.

      I think there’s lots of well hyped products out there that just don’t live up to expectations for some like my review of the Charlotte Tilbury magic foundation…everyone raves about it but I didn’t get on with it. I think for me this mascara does work but I wouldn’t use 3 coats like it suggests you can as I think it’d be really clumpy. My fave mascara is still Estée Lauder sumptuous extreme.       Thank you! Thanks for reading. I think if I didn’t have my gift card I may not have tried it as I don’t tend to buy new mascaras….I tend to stick to what I know but then again I’ve just bought the Younique lashes too ….what’s happening to me??? Hahaha! Xx

    Everybody raves about this mascara. But it doesn’t work for me, at all! I have lashes that are straight and when curled, this mascara undoes my curl… Mascara is such a personal thing, isn’t it… xoxo Sarah

      Thanks for reading. That’s a shame. Some people love it and some hate it. I’m more towards loving it. I’d recommend it but at the end of the day it’s not the best thing ever that’s for sure. I think the brush is the let down really as I struggle to get to my smaller lashes but it seemed to work well generally on me which is why I rated it. That said I’ve only used it a couple of times so maybe I should have written this as a first impressions review really. 🙊 xx

    This looks amazing! I’ve heard so much hype about it… but I hate paying so much for a mascara. I’m hoping to get a sample of it – maybe Sephora will have it for a perk that I can redeem points for.

      Thanks for reading…yeah I’m liking it so far…I’ve worn it all day today and its comfortable enough to wear. I think if I didn’t have the gift card I had I don’t think I would have given in so easily and bought it…and would have maybe waited for an offer to pop up but as I had the gift card I used it for this. Not 100% I would repurchase at the moment but not necessarily anything wrong with this, I’m just undecided if it beats my Estee Lauder one…which I’m not sure it does and it’s pretty much the same price! 🙂

I have to agree in terms of not buying super expensive which probably sounds contradictive to my blog but I bought this because I had a gift card and thought I’d like to try that. That said, I have had so many trial size mascaras in the last couple of years from Birchbox, from gift with purchase at Clinique and Estee Lauder from my skincare, and not wearing makeup every day, I haven’t needed to buy a mascara for a long time! This and the Younique one are probably the first mascara I’ve bought in a long time. Not sure I’d have bought it if it wasn’t for having a gift card to spend 🙂 x
