Christmas Eve Makeup

Christmas Eve….it’s been quite a busy day preparing for tomorrow but I thought I’d put makeup on before going for a walk with the kids to my Mum’s house for mulled wine and a film 🙂

Tonight’s makeup started with the PUR correcting primer that I received in my advent calendar, followed by Nars Sheer Glow foundation and Nars Translucent setting powder.  The base was then finished by Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, Dim light all over, Incandescent light over my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and cupids bow.  I then used Radiant light as a subtle contour.

img_4554Eyeshadow used was from the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette….I sprayed Mac Fix+ onto my brush and applied the shade Dirty Sweet, which is a shimmery gold colour.  Applying it wet meant a more metallic effect.  I then took the shade Combust which is a matte taupe colour and applied this dry on a fluffy brush through my crease.  For eyeliner I used Urban Decay Razor Sharp eyeliner in Push.  Lashes had a coat of Estee Lauder’s Lash Primer Plus, followed by Estee Lauder’s Sumptuous mascara.  I then used Gimme Brow by Benefit thorough my brows and Jelly Pong Pong’s brightening Waterliner on the lower waterline and on the inner corner of my eye to brighten my eye area.

I thought I would go for a bold lip, so being Christmas I opted for Stiletto by Model Co.

Here is the finished look, and ready to go out for a cold winter’s walk 🙂
